Neuro Emotional Technique

NET: Mind-Body Medicine-Energy Psychology

When things in life continually go wrong, or things just don't go right there is something powerful we can do about it: NET.

NET, Neuro Emotional Technique is the profound and transformative. NET is a methodology of finding and removing neurological aberrations which are adversely affecting one's physiology and very state of being. We call these aberrations, neuro emotional complexes (NEC's).

Our pattern-prone brains can adapt to stress by forming defensive patterning (NEC's) due to traumatic emotional events. We are particularly prone health issues from these pattern adaptations when we are very young and our brains are still developing, Our thinking and emotional responses are prone to disturbance if an emotional trauma has not been adequately resolved. Often our defensive patterning keeps us unaware of distortions and stressors which eventually work against our best efforts later in life to become optimally happy, healthy adult.

Fortunately NET, a mind-body therapeutic technique can resolve some of our inner turmoil and conflicts by re-patterning the emotional memory. Using semantic prompts coupled with muscle testing, healthy neural patterns can re-emerge. Our emotional memories remain, but without the charge and health-disturbing power they once had.

If you’re in a weakened state due to factors such as stress or physical trauma, everyday emotional responses may not fully resolve as they naturally should. Later in our lives, when we experience a similar situation, an old emotional response can kick in.

Individually, we rarely see the link between a past event and our present situation. This is where NET is crucial — NET can help identify an old unresolved event (real or imagined) and help your body release its lingering emotional response. For good!

People used to think that emotions resided entirely in their brain. Now we know that other parts of the body can hold emotional charges too. Have you ever felt butterflies in your stomach before a speech? Have you referred to something as a “pain in the neck?” Have you ever felt a “lump in your throat?” Clearly emotions happen in our body, not just our brain.

NET practitioners can find unresolved, negatively-charged emotional responses that are stored in your body and help you release them. It’s fast, it's fun, and it can dramatically improve your health.

Finding “trapped” or conditioned memory loops is done with the help of simple muscle testing. This helps determine if your body is in harmony with a particular concept or idea which is linked to an unresolved emotional event.

To make the correction, you’ll form a mental picture - a “snapshot” - of the original triggering event. Your body will assume an emotional state similar to the way it originally reacted. Then we will contact (or ask you to contact) a specific body point that is associated with the unresolved emotional response. This helps your body release the emotion linked to the event. It’s that simple!

After the correction, many patients report feeling that a heavy weight has been lifted from their shoulders. If things become too personal or uncomfortable during the process, just say the word and the session can end safely. You are always in control.

NET is safe and effective, and is a natural way to instantly resolve long-standing health problems by resolving the emotional components that accompany the physical symptoms.

Dr. Downes has been certified in NET since 2003 and is the only Certified NET Practitioner in Maryland.

Headache Relief with Chiropractic Care
Many people suffer from chronic headaches needlessly. Some headaches can be attributed to stress or tension which can affect the neck. In fact the latest medical literature1 reports that many cases of chronic headache are caused by a biomechanical problem in the neck—which is often misdiagnosed or unrecognized by physicians.

Power Immunity
Just say no to H1N1

Our bodies do not have an immune system, as much as it is an immune system in its functional totality.  Systems such as the skeletal system, respiratory system, reproductive system, endocrine system, central nervous system, etc. are complete functioning systems with a clear set of organs and responses.  The human body does not have a single immune system, as it is better described as having an immune alliance among various systems  and organs which when coordinated by the brain, give an immune response to the presence of disease associated factors, such as bacteria or vital invasion.  The immune alliance is comprised of the thymus gland for lymphocytes, the spleen for antibodies, bone marrow for blood cell formation, digestive system and its acid to destroy parasites, intestinal flora, which destroy pathogenic microbes, and the liver for detoxification and enzyme production.

Whole Food for whole body health
As a chiropractor I came to my work in whole food nutrition not by design but by necessity. My earlier thought was that there were plenty of nutritionists, plenty of nutritional advice, and lots of vegetables to be had if one wished to follow that path.

We can help arthritis
Twenty-five years in the back-care field has brought more people through my door who thought they had no hope concerning their daily quota of aches and pains. "Oh its my "arthritis", or my "rhematism", nothing anyone can do about it, my mother had it, four of my brothers have it, it just runs in our family...
